The Columbia River Gorge, navigated more than 200 years ago by Lewis and Clark, is the crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest. For cycling vacations, the region surrounding the Columbia River Gorge offers extensive opportunities to tour lightly traveled roads through amazing scenery. To the south lies majestic and glaciated Mt. Hood, Oregon's tallest peak. To the north, Washington's Mt. Adams forms an equally impressive backdrop. Eagle Creek Overlook
Featuring 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps-era architecture in its rock walls and central meeting facility, Eagle Creek Overlook has a one-of-a-kind view of the Columbia River, Bonneville Dam and the dramatic mountains of the Gorge. Ride this paved trail any time of the year except in snow and ice. Hazzards may include steel grating in front of the dam, slippery roads, and traffic.

Tanner Creek Road
Offering exceptional views of the Columbia River Gorge, Tanner Creek Road is a challenging trail that is inaccessible to motored vehicles. Ride this gavel trail any time of the year except in snow and ice. Hazzards may include moderately steep grades, slippery roads, fallings rocks, and cliffs that will require caution.
