The trail system at Skamania Lodge offers over four miles of nature trails on the property. There are magnificent views of the surrounding Columbia River Gorge and Cascade Mountains. Skamania Lodge offers a splendid opportunity to sample some of the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty. Choose from Creek Loop Trail, a 1.5 mile trail that follows Foster Creek; Lake Loop Trail a 1.75 mile trail that winds around the Golf Course Lake; or Gorge Loop Trail, a 1 mile fitness trail.
Larch Mountain Loop Trailhead
A nice hike through wooded areas with gradual elevation gains. Expect to see spectacular views of Sheppard Point, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Hood, as well as a good portion of the Columbia Gorge cutting through beneath you. Enjoy this paved trail late spring through the fall. Hazzards may include rocky scree slope near the top of the trail, rock and root strewn decent, new water bars can be extremly slick, as well as the several small bridges.

Mist Falls Trailhead
This short but very steep hike can be enjoyed year-round and offers passage to the historical ruins site of the 1916 Multnomah Falls Lodge. Hazzards may include loose and falling rocks.

Duration: Less than an hour; 0.6 miles
Multnomah Falls Trailhead
This family-friendly and sometimes crowded trail is one of Oregon's most popular and iconic destinations. Enjoy this trail year-round along with a gift shop, public restrooms and a restuarant.

Pacific Crest Trail
The Pacific Crest Trail crosses the Columbia River into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest just west of Stevenson. Free long distance permits and various short distance permits are available. If long (or short) hikes are to your liking, visit the Pacific Crest Trail Association at http://www.pcta.org/. Complimentary shuttle service from Skamania Lodge.

Wahkeena Trailhead
Wahkeena Falls, one of the more popular destinations in the Columbia Gorge, has a beauty all it's own. It's not a huge, single fall like Multnomah or Latourell, but multiple falls that fall this way and that. Located to the right of Wahkeena Creek Bridge, this partially paved trail can be enjoyed any time of the year.

Along forest road 65, our "GPS Eco-Challenge" incorporates fun and learning about the forest ecosystem while building group dynamics. A typical route, based on the groups' ability levels, covers about two miles of walking.
