Windsurfing & Kiteboarding

Windsurfing and Kiteboarding abound throughout the magnificent Columbia River Gorge, the "Windsurfing Capital of the World". The Columbia River cuts through the Cascade Mountains, bordering the States of Washington and Oregon from the Eastern deserts to the Pacific Ocean 200 miles to the West. Here you will find sailing sites at beaches and parks ranging over 100 miles of the Columbia River.

Whitewater Rafting & Kayaking

The Columbia River Gorge Area is a true paradise for whitewater enthusiasts. Whether you're a first-time rafter or a Class V kayaker, you´ll find numerous opportunities to enjoy the rivers of the Gorge. Rafting trips can range from relaxing float trips to intense, challenging rapids. You´ll also find world-class kayaking. Kayakers from all over the world visit this area to kayak down the wide variety of rivers of the Columbia River Gorge. From flat water kayaking to expert class V kayaking, it is all in the Gorge. The wild and scenic White Salmon River in particular offers three fun and energizing runs which include the upper, middle, and lower Gorge.

Some of the more popular whitewater rivers include:

White Salmon River:
Season: Year-Round.
Level: beginner to advanced.

Klickitat River:
Season: April through early June.
Level: beginner to advanced.

Deschutes River:

This lodge is one of the friendliest places I know. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy working there and doing whatever they can to assist the guests.
