Farm to Fork at Skamania Lodge
The “Farm to Fork” culinary program is underway at Skamania Lodge! Come and enjoy the local flavor. We have partnered with local growers and fruit companies to provide the the fresh, organic produce from lush farmland of The Columbia River Gorge. We receive a weekly list from local farmers and choose what we will buy for the week.
This list incluces not only the fruit that the area is so known for – cherries, berries, apples, pears – but also vegetables like carrots, asparagus, onions, squash and so on. Name the season and we can name the produce!
Also make plans to visit the resort’s newly christened Cascade Garden this summer where herbs and vegetables are tended to daily for the enjoyment of our guests.
This lodge is one of the friendliest places I know. Everyone seems to genuinely enjoy working there and doing whatever they can to assist the guests.
