CELEBRATE MOM AT SKAMANIA LODGE
An exceptional brunch and overnight package mark the occasion
Stevenson, Wash. – (April 14, 2010) – Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, invites families to show Mom how much they care with a Mother’s Day Package on Saturday, May 8 – Sunday, May 9, 2010. Â
“Mother’s Day is a time to spend with family,” said Scott Spann, general manager of Skamania Lodge. “Skamania Lodge is happy to offer a great environment for families to create new traditions and lasting memories while showing mom how special she is.”Â
Skamania Lodge’s Mother’s Day Package includes one night accommodations in a Superior Forest view room for two, and entry to the specially crafted Mother’s Day brunch. The Mother’s Day brunch will take place in The Cascade Room on Sunday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features a variety of special offerings. Menu highlights include:
- Starters
- Dungeness crab with mignonette, cocktail sauce and remoulade
- Goat Cheese with sun dried tomato tapenade and roasted garlic basil pesto
- Assorted terrines, pâtés and galantines
- Salads
- Pasta salad, artichokes, grape tomatoes and asiago cheese with lemon basil vinaigrette
- Smoked chicken and apple salad with sour cream and honey dressing
- Seasonal fruits – cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries
- Carving station
- Native American-style potlatch salmon with remoulade
- Slow roasted prime rib au jus with horseradish sauce
- Assorted breakfast sausages and smoked bacon
- Omelet Station
- Performed by Uniformed Chet
- Entrees
- Roasted halibut with fresh dill, tomato fennel concasse and pinot gris beurre blanc
- Cheese blintzes with raspberry coulis
- Green curried beef with pan fired yaki soba noodles and fine julienned vegetables
- Eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce
