Value added family getaways and meeting packages
Stevenson, Wash. - (February 12, 2009) - Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, announces new packages for leisure and group travel designed to provide memorable and valuable experiences. Guests are invited to enjoy a variety of value-added experiences throughout the property, from kids' breakfasts offered free of charge in The Cascade Room or a complimentary massage at the Waterleaf Spa, to a free round on The Golf Course or complimentary catered breakout sessions during meetings.
"We aim to provide our guests with uncommon experiences," said Scott Spann, general manager of Skamania Lodge. "These new packages are a good example of the value our guests can enjoy within the picturesque setting of our Pacific Northwest location."
The "Discover the Challenge" Golf Getaway includes one-night accommodations in a Superior Forest View room starting at $159. With the booking of this package, guests enjoy a complimentary 18-hole round of golf for two on Skamania Lodge's award-winning, family-friendly Golf Course.
With rates starting at $159, the Spring Spa Special provides a complimentary 25-minute relaxation massage at the Waterleaf Spa, including access to saline mineral pools and whirlpools, with the booking of one night accommodations in a Superior Forest View room.
Enjoy one night accommodations in a Superior Forest View room, starting at $119, with the Spring Break - Kids Eat Free Special, available through April 30, 2009. This package includes complimentary kids' breakfasts with each paying adult, complimentary viewing of a kids' movie on the big screen each night at 7 p.m. and free use of the Wii game system in the Stevenson Ballroom.
The Spring/Summer Value Package gives guests the opportunity to enjoy Skamania Lodge twice this year - at the same low nightly rate of $119. Guests who book this getaway and stay between February 15 and April 30, 2009 may return to enjoy the summer season with an additional night available through September 4, 2009.
Meeting planners benefit from booking the Meeting Planners' Special at Skamania Lodge's full service Conference Center which offers a focused learning environment. Rates start at $109 per night for select dates through March 31, 2009, and $149 per night for select dates from April 1, 2009 through July 2, 2009. Included free of charge with this special rate is the meeting planner's choice between the following complimentary catered breaks:
- Northwest Wine and Cheese Reception: A selection of Northwest wines, and a variety of cheeses served with crackers, breads and fresh fruit
- The Columbia River Coffee Break: A selection of Starbucks coffee and chai tea, juices, health bars, fresh yogurt and fruit
