Pacific Northwest Resort Offers Special Father’s Day Brunch and Weekend Getaway
Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, invites families to create new and lasting Father’s Day memories with a relaxing overnight stay followed by a one-of-a-kind Father’s Day Brunch this June.
“Father’s Day at Skamania Lodge is a chance for families to relax and reconnect with the important men in their lives,” said Scott Spann, general manager of Skamania Lodge. “We are delighted to have a delicious and stress-free Father’s Day brunch that allows families to spend quality time with one another.”
Skamania Lodge’s Father’s Day Package includes one night accommodations in a Superior Forest view room for two on Saturday, June 19 and entry to the celebratory Father’s Day brunch. The Father’s Day Brunch will be held in The Cascade Room on Sunday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu highlights include:
- Starters
- o Assorted local smoked fish with condiments
- o Dungeness crab and shrimp with mignonette, cocktail sauce and remoulade
- o Goat cheese with tapenade and toasted garlic, grilled pita bread
- § Salads
- o Pasta salad with artichokes, peppers, olives and roasted garlic
- o Marinated tomatoes and fresh buffalo mozzarella with basil and extra virgin olive oil
- o Summer organic greens with assorted dressings
- § Omelet Station
- o Made to order by uniformed chef
- o Shrimp, ham, green onions, cheddar cheese, salsa
- Carving Station
- o Slow roasted prime rib with herb au jus
- o Traditional potlatch salmon with chipotle aioli and remoulade sauce
- Entrees
- o Stuffed chicken breast Florentine filled with spinach, feta cheese and sun dried tomatoes
- o Beef pot pie with pearl onions, mushrooms, green peas and Tillamook cheddar dumplings
- Penne pasta Alfredo with prosciutto, forest mushrooms, shallots and kefalotiri cheese
- Pastries
- o Assorted pastries, cakes, pies, cobblers, cookies, strudel
- o Crème brulee, cobblers, profiteroles, kataifi in phyllo
Prices for the Father’s Day Brunch are $41.95 for adults, $20.95 for children ages seven to 12, and $9.95 for children six and under. Rates for the Father’s Day Package start at $227.
