GORGE VISITORS VOTE 'BEST IN THE GORGE'

2011 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Columbia Gorge -January 30, 2012: In 2011 the Gorge Guide®, the visitor guide of the Columbia River Gorge asked visitors to vote for their favorite Gorge activities and establishments online at BestoftheGorge.com. The 2011 results are now available and are attached to this release.

"For 30 years we've been showcasitlg the Gorge for visitors and our 2nd annual Best of the Gorge contest was extremely insightful. We asked visitors to tell us about their favorite experiences in the Gorge and the voice of the visitor is what you'll see here," said Jeff Jones, editor of the Gorge Guide®. The categories range from best restaurant food to best hiking trail. Winners received the most votes in their category.

The winning businesses will be featured at BestoftheGorge.com, GorgeGuide.com, the Great Values Magazine and in the 2012 Gorge Guide®, which will be available in April. Voting For 2012 'Best of the Gorge' recipients is now underway.

The Gorge Guide® is published annually by Gorge Publishing and has an annual distribution of 100,000 free copies. It is the official visitor guide to the Columbia River Gorge as endorsed by the Columbia River Gorge Visitor Association. The 30th annual Gorge Guide® will he available in April 2012 and is primarily distributed throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
