Skamania Lodge Hires Amy McCormack

Golfers in the Pacific Northwest enjoy breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge while playing at the golf course at Skamania Lodge, an 18-hole, par-70 course located on the resort's 175 wooded acres. The golf course services include a driving range, practice bunker, chipping and putting greens, full-service golf shop, cart rentals and an onsite staff of PGA professionals. The newest addition to Skamania Lodge's Golf Course staff is Amy C. McCormack, a PGA golf professional with nine years of experience in the golf industry. Previously, McCormack served as an assistant golf professional at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, Ore. Prior to that, she held the same position at Bear Creek Country Club in Woodinville, Wash.
McCormack's responsibilities at Skamania Lodge's Golf Course include running efficient tee sheets, assisting with customer service and hosting tournaments, and providing golf instruction for guests. McCormack holds turf management and associate of art degrees from Edmonds Community College, and a Montessori teaching degree from the Montessori College for Early Education. She is currently pursuing Class A status within the Professional Golf Association. McCormack is also certified as a Washington state volleyball official and volunteers with the Special Olympics by coordinating the officiating staff for local, regional and state events. McCormack, a native of Longview, Wash., currently lives in Corbett, Ore. She enjoys playing golf all over the Pacific Northwest and hiking with her Australian Shepherd, Elsi.
