Skamania Lodge Introduces “Feast in the Forest” Dinner Series
Gourmet Dining in the Wilderness
STEVENSON, Wash. (March 19, 2013)—This summer Skamania Lodge will host a series of dinners in a unique setting. The “Feast in the Forest” dinner series announced today will take place in the wilderness on the Skamania Lodge property, where guests can enjoy amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge, and feast on gourmet dishes prepared collaboratively by Skamania Lodge’s Executive Chef James Boheim and a monthly featured guest chef from Portland, Oregon.
“Feast in the Forest” dinners will be hosted on one Sunday per month between May and August, and Chef Boheim is inviting all the guest chefs back for a “Grand Feast” in October. Chefs will pull inspiration from the wooded setting in the Gorge, and source unique, local ingredients wherever possible.
“We are really happy with the quality of chefs coming out to participate in this dinner series,” said Chef Boheim. “Plus we will be challenging ourselves to use unique ingredients inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s plentiful forests. I’m very excited to see what each month brings.”
The full schedule is as follows:
May 19: Chef Tony Meyers of Serratto and Chef John Eisenhart of Pazzo Ristorante
June 23: Chef Mark Hosack of Gracie’s and Chef Chris Diminno of Clyde Common
July 21: Chef Rodney Duncan of Buggatti’s and Chef Chris Carriker of Gilt Club
August 18: Chef Matt Christianson of Urban Farmer and Chef Dustin Clark of Wildwood
October 6: Grand Feast (all chefs to return)
Price per person is $59, which does not include tax and gratuity. Guests are welcome to bring one bottle of wine per person with no corkage fee. Skamania Lodge will also be offering room rate discounts for diners, providing a short walk home from the delightful feasts.
