SKAMANIA LODGE INVITES GUESTS TO EAT AND BE MERRY AT THE CHRISTMAS DAY BUFFET
Pacific Northwest Resort Offers Holiday Dining for Guests and Community
Stevenson, Wash. – (November 17, 2009) – Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts, invites guests and members of the surrounding communities to celebrate the season with a gourmet Christmas Day buffet showcasing local ingredients prepared by the Lodge’s award-winning culinary team.
“Bringing family and friends together during the holiday season is something we are honored to do at Skamania Lodge,” says Scott Spann, general manager of Skamania Lodge. “Our staff will cook the holiday feast so that our guests can enjoy winter activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing or warming up by the stone fireplace in the Gorge Room.”
The Christmas Day Buffet, held in The Cascade Room on Friday, December 25, 2009 from noon to 8:00 p.m., features a wide selection of gourmet offerings. Menu highlights include:
- Dungeness Crab with mignonette and cocktail sauce
- Roasted Sweet Potato salad with dried Hood River cherries and maple walnut vinaigrette
- Oven Roasted Butternut Squash with vanilla bean meringue and maple syrup
- Forest Mushroom Risotto with Oregon blue cheese, truffle oil and toasted hazelnuts
- Skamania’s signature Potlatch Salmon with rémoulade sauce
- Prime Rib Au Jus with horseradish sauce
- Smoked Ham with grilled pineapple pomegranate relish
- Rock Shrimp, sea scallop, Dungeness crab and lobster St. Jacque
- Bananas Foster, Pumpkin Crumb Pie, Pecan Pie, Fruit Cobblers
For a complete Christmas getaway, Skamania Lodge offers the Holiday Dining and Dinner package, which includes one night accommodations in a Superior Forest View guestroom and a $100 dining credit towards the Christmas Day Buffet.
The Christmas Day Buffet is $38.95 for adults and $17.95 for children under 12. The Holiday Dining and Dinner package is available on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25, 2009, and rates start at $259. Rate does not include Lodge fee, taxes or gratuities.
