SKAMANIA LODGE KICKS-OFF 2010 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Overnight Accommodations Packaged with World-Class Entertainment

Stevenson, Wash.  - (May 3, 2010) - Skamania Lodge, an all-season mountain resort in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, offers a Fourth of July fireworks celebration to kick-off its 2010 Summer Concert Series.  The series will be held at the Skamania Lodge Amphitheatre from July – September and guests can experience the resort’s exceptional accommodations with Summer Concert Series Packages.

“Skamania Lodge’s one of a kind location makes it the ideal setting for an evening of music” said Scott Spann, general manager of Skamania Lodge.  “Kicking off our music series with an Independence Day fireworks show allows guests to experience an all-American holiday retreat with world-class entertainment." 

Skamania Lodge’s Summer Concert Series packages include one night accommodations in a Superior Forest View room, two reserved seat tickets to the concert and a picnic basket with cheese, fruit, wine, bottle opener and a fleece blanket.  

Skamania Lodge Summer Concerts begin at 7 p.m. and non-package tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 general admission and $10 reserved seating or day-of for $10 general admission and $15 reserved seating.  The 2010 Summer Concert Series line-up follows:

• Sunday, July 4 – Patrick Lamb & Independence Day Fireworks Grammy-nominated saxophonist performs his smooth jazz favorites.
• Friday, July 16 – Bettye Levette with opening act Louis Pain & Renato Caranto  Known as “The Great Lady of Soul”, Levette was named the Best Female Blues Singer in 2005 by the Blues Foundation. 
• Friday, July 30 – Keegan Smith  The winner of the Male Artist of the Year at the 2010 Portland Music Awards, performs contemporary guitar and vocals.
• Friday, August 13 – The Divas of Soul featuring Linda Hornbuckle, LaRhonda Steele and Julianne Johnson Three Pacific Northwest divas come together for a night of soul, funk and blues.
• Friday, August 27 – Three Leg Torso  Portland based chamber music ensemble. 
• Friday, September 3 – Misty River  The all-female acoustic quartet performs original songs and traditional favorites. 

The Summer Concert Series is presented by Skamania Lodge and Patrick Lamb Productions and is supported by the following sponsors: Jema Bitar Properties, Corwin Beverage, Pacific Seafood, CNW Construction, Maryhill Winery and Royal Cup Coffee.
