SKAMANIA LODGE OFFERS WEDDING DOGS THEIR OWN SPECIAL STRESS-RELIEVING AMENITIES PACKAGE
"We are seeing more and more requests for dogs to be a part of wedding-day ceremonies but have noticed that they are often left out of the festivities once they have performed their wedding duties," said Todd Gillespie, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Lodge. "From the time they check in until long after the ceremony is over, wedding dogs will now be able to receive the thanks they deserve."
The Lodge’s new Wedding Dog Package includes:
- A special welcome basket with a bowtie or flower collar to be worn during the ceremony, dog treats, special wedding-themed toys, and their own in-room doggie robe
- A pre-wedding bath
- A four-poster dog bed set up in the couple’s room to relax in after the stress of the day
- A doggy wedding cake delivered to the couple’s room following the ceremony
- A dog walker who will take the pampered pooch out for a stress-relieving walk around the grounds
Skamania Lodge will also donate $1 per night to the Humane Society for Southwest Washington.
