Skamania Guest Review - Second Time was Even Better

TripAdvisor Review - 5 of 5 stars    This was our second visit to the Skamania Lodge and it was even better the second time. We traveled to the PNW last year, and ended our trip for only a two day stay at the Skamania Lodge. This year on our trip to the PNW, we started the trip at the Skamania Lodge, and stayed for 4 days, and it was great. The lodge is very nicely decorated and designed, and a majority of the rooms have the most incredible view of the Columbia River Gorge and the mountains. (be sure to reserve the river view on the 3rd, or 4th floor) On Saturday we were able to relax on the back deck and watch a professional bird handler present falcons and an eagle to the amazement of many of the guests. After that we enjoyed supper at one of the two great restaurants at the lodge, the River Rock. Sunday we enjoyed a 2 hour zip line course at the lodge, which was well worth it. The lodge is a great family location to do things around the Columbia River Gorge, we went whitewater rafting at the wet planet, fished in the columbia river, walked on hikes to waterfalls, the fish hatchery, etc etc. It's also a great place for a romantic getaway as there are several adult activities there as well. Room Tip: Be sure to request a river view room on the upper floors Review by TripAdvisor Guest - Mike S - Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  July, 2014 Read More
