Getting Local Artist Back to Work

 

If there has ever been a time to support local artists, it’s NOW. We are shining the spotlight on talented local artists from across the Pacific Northwest, giving them the stage to perform live once again. 

Getaway for an intimate Friday night out reminiscent of simpler times when evenings were filled with live music, drinks, and great company. Enjoy a private table for two, safely distanced 6 feet apart to view to an incredible live music performance in our Stevenson Ballroom. Dig into a delicious NW inspired charcuterie board, and then slip away and take the elevator home for a refreshing night at Skamania Lodge.

Grammy Award winner Doug Smith is an internationally renowned acoustic guitarist who weaves together folk, classical, jazz and contemporary forms into a unique, flowing, original fingerpicking style recalling the playing of Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, and Alex de Grassi. 

Doug Smith is a well-traveled performer, playing at various venues and festivals around the country. His travels have taken him to Taiwan, China, South Korea, and four tours of Japan. He is a popular instructor at guitar and music workshops across the country, including the Swannanoa Gathering, Colorado Roots Music Camp, Puget Sound Guitar Workshop and the Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival in Montana, where he taught alongside Pat Metheny and Dweezil Zappa.

Most recently in 2019, Doug traveled to New York and Chicago to be a member of the ensemble for the Broadway production of August Rush - the Musical.

Doug currently resides in Vancouver, WA (near Portland, OR) where he teaches guitar, writes and performs.He plays James Goodall and Lance McCollum guitars.

During the past 20 years of singing, songwriting and recording, Gayle Ritt continues to reach listeners with her music and live performances throughout the US and abroad. The impact has resulted in millions hearing her voice, news features and national commercials on TV and Radio and her five independent releases have crossed many genres - fueled - she will remind you - by a powerful collection of contributing friends.

Her live performances are as varied as her styles - from live acoustic at the House of Blues to small club rock shows, hotel residencies and elegant corporate events. "The promise of an ongoing love affair with her music will begin the moment you hear the first note."

Ritt sings a unique and traditional version of the National Anthem that has garnered her a standing invitation by the Chicago Cubs (8 years running). She has also performed at Dodgers Stadium, The Staples Center, US Cellular Field and the Thomas & Mack Center for the Dodgers, Lakers, White Sox and Gladiators.

She currently resides in Portland, Oregon.

Terry Robb is an awarding-winning fingerstyle guitarist, singer, composer, arranger and record producer. His work is featured in Hollywood films, documentaries and biographies, such as Game of Thrones, The Horse Whisperer, and Dance of Death: The Life of John Fahey, American Guitarist. He is associated with the American Primitive Guitar genre through his collaborations with Fahey, and is regarded as a virtuoso of acoustic blues guitar. In his multi-decade career, Robb has released 15 critically acclaimed solo recordings, and performed at festivals and concert halls across the United States, Canada and Europe. His latest release, Confessin’ My Dues, was nominated by The Blues Foundation for the Acoustic Blues Album Blues Music Award and received the Muddy Award for Best Northwest Recording. Robb is a member of the Recording Academy, Oregon Music Hall of Fame and Cascade Blues Association Fall of Fame.

Shelly has been singing, performing and composing for over twenty years. Her projects have embraced soul, jazz, blues, R&B, reggae and pop. Music has taken Shelly all over the United States and the world. Ensembles have ranged from intimate duets to Jazz Orchestras and most everything in between. She is currently among the busiest vocalists in Portland, Oregon performing regularly every week with her own projects as well as with Smooth Jazz innovator Tom Grant. 

Ms. Rudolph has self-produced and released two original albums, selling over two thousand units plus digital downloads. These CDs have solidified her standing as a marketable artist for agents and venues, established her as a notable musician among peers and press, and garnered songwriting and recording work nationally and internationally.
